The corporate volunteer network is essential for expanding the positive impact on the communities where the Instituto Profarma operates. To celebrate the leading role played by the Embaixadores do Bem and strengthen the connection with the social organizations it supports, the Institute holds events throughout the year in various regions of the country, providing opportunities for fun, interaction, and solidarity.
On October 16, another Ambassadors’ Meeting was held, this time in Brasilia, in the Federal District. The event took place at Casa do Menino Jesus, an institution that cares for children and adolescents with cancer, kidney or heart problems, or cerebral palsy, and included snacks, recreational activities, appearances by special characters (Spider-Man and Princess Tiana), and the distribution of oral hygiene kits, in partnership with Colgate.
The day was marked by lots of smiles, games, and affection. “The experience of being there was very rewarding, seeing the children having fun and enjoying themselves. We went there to do good, not because we deserved it, but because we wanted to from the bottom of our hearts,” said Marcos Vinicius Soares Morais, Loss Prevention Assistant at Profarma Distribuição (CD DF).
By holding this meeting, Instituto Profarma strengthened the impact generated at Casa do Menino Jesus and promoted the engagement of the Embaixadores do Bem, demonstrating in practice the importance of volunteering in the lives of the families assisted.
