Drogarias Tamoio offers lipid profile testing.

In an effort to provide greater access to healthcare for the population of Rio de Janeiro, Drogarias Tamoio offered free lipid profile tests at its Alcântara branch in São Gonçalo. This special initiative was part of the brand’s anniversary celebrations, marking 72 years of history and care for the health and well-being of its customers.

Between September 1 and 10, 100 people took the test, which checks blood lipid levels, including cholesterol and triglycerides. Based on the results, it is possible to assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as venous thrombosis, heart attack, and stroke.

According to Leandro Oliveira, Commercial Strategy Manager at Rede d1000, pharmaceutical services are establishing themselves as one of the strategic pillars of pharmaceutical retail, elevating the role of pharmacies to that of community health platforms.

“The clinical services provided at Drogarias Tamoio are a competitive advantage over our competitors, as they increase our retention and recurrence with the provision of services, in addition to rebuilding the pharmacist as a key player in providing care to our customers,” said Leandro.
