On November 4, Drogasmil opened a store in Freguesia, in the western zone of Rio de Janeiro, marking another step in the expansion of the Rede d1000. The store was designed according to a modern concept of smart construction, with the aim of integrating agility in execution, reducing environmental impact, and improving the customer experience.
The project used the ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) construction system, a technology widely adopted in countries that are leaders in sustainability, which consists of expanded polystyrene blocks filled with concrete. This system reduces construction time by up to 30%, which made it possible to bring forward the inauguration by one month.
“The adoption of this methodology represented an evolution in the way we design and manage our projects. It reinforces Rede d1000 commitment to innovation, energy efficiency, and sustainability, as well as representing a significant advance in the standardization of construction solutions applicable to the Company’s future units, ensuring better deadlines. Seeing the solid and efficient results is a source of pride for the entire team involved,” said Anderson Hautequestt, Project Coordinator at Rede d1000.
Patrick Brison, designer in the Rede d1000 Expansion area, pointed out that the use of the ICF methodology represents a major advance for pharmaceutical retail. “The Styrofoam panel system reduces material waste and improves thermal performance. In addition, we were able to preserve part of the native vegetation on the lot, including a Brazilwood tree, and another part will be replanted, strengthening our environmental commitment. It is a joy to deliver a store that combines innovation, ecological responsibility, and construction quality,” he concluded.
