Compensa+ is an initiative by the Grupo Profarma developed to promote more responsible logistics in line with best environmental practices. The program supports certified carbon offset projects, neutralizing the CO₂ generated by transportation carried out by Locafarma, the Company’s logistics operator.
“Seeking to promote the integration of topics such as sustainability, governance, and social impact in different areas, the ESG board has become a catalyst for strategic value within the Company, and the Compensa+ project is an example of this. In collaboration with the logistics department, the initiative aims to make the Locafarma is a carbon-neutral company, in addition to boosting our partnership with the industry,” said Deborah Birmarcker, Director of ESG & Compliance at Grupo Profarma and President of Instituto Profarma.
By joining Compensa+, Profarma Distribuição’s partner industries receive a number of benefits, strengthen their commitment to the planet, and take an important step toward a more sustainable supply chain. As an exclusive bonus, the first five participants will receive training on Emissions Inventory, contributing to the development of conscious practices.
